CONVENING STAKEHOLDERS FOR COLLECTIVE INSIGHT

“Confluence 2016” for Chicago Wilderness

Needing to identify and align priorities for its regional water efforts from a diverse group of stakeholders, Chicago Wilderness invited Foresight to design and facilitate Confluence 2016.

This day-long, insight-generating conference convened over 100 stakeholders from the southern Lake Michigan region. Foresight worked closely with the organization’s leadership, and an event steering committee, to identify event objectives, and design highly interactive and engaging large and small-group sessions to accomplish them. The gathering was well evaluated by attendees, many of whom highlighted the effective moderation and overall process the experience incorporated. With Foresight’s moderation, Confluence 2016 led to a more comprehensive and shared understanding of the most pressing water issues, barriers to greater progress, and needs and opportunities for Chicago Wilderness’ intervention.
