Chicago has boasted that it’s the greenest city in the country, but what does that really mean? This seminar provides participants with a quick but thorough overview of where sustainability efforts have been, and where they are going, making sure to separate fact from exaggeration. Tailored to the interests of attendees, the course delivers information, resources, volunteer opportunities and unique insight into issues ranging from recycling to Asian Carp.
This seminar reaches beyond the surface and shares some of the complexities, trends, history and opportunities persented by the Windy City's "green" movement. The accompanying resource guide includes a range of relevant books, websites and organizations. Informed, interactive and inspiring, the seminar provides a foundation for a well-versed and more-engaged understanding of Chicago's shift to "green."
