Essential Elements of Social Innovation - Session 2!

Too often, vaguely understood concepts parade as well-defined ideas. Over the first half of this year we brought you rich and insightful conversations on 5 such elements that are essential to social innovation. Now we'd like to invite you to join us for Session 2, where we'll explore: Systems, Collaboratives (very different from Collaboration), Facilitation, Ambiguity, and Justice.

If you share our interest in creating and scaling positive change, please email essential@foresightdesign.org to request an invitation to join us for the small group, unrecorded conversations we're hosting on each of these topics. We're looking forward to sharing insights derived from both our practice and research, as well as learning from the questions and experiences of other participants. Our intention is for these sessions to be edifying discussions, not lectures, through which we might deepen our understanding, improve our work, and get to know one another better.

WHY “SYSTEMS”?

From microorganisms to Earth's climate we are able to exist because of an incredible array of interlocking relationships. Understanding and inflecting the systems that impact social, environmental and economic factors requires new perspectives, tools, and approaches that are still emerging.

Foresight has more than a decade of experience developing and using systems-related tools and methods for unlocking and scaling positive change. If you're curious about why some issues never get fixed, what a system looks like exactly, or just want to better understand how systems thinking might help your organization or initiative in some surprising ways, please request an invite!
