Green Earth Institute is a nonprofit educational organization. On our 60 acre farm located on the south side of Naperville, Illinois, we grow over 40 different crops of nutritious organic vegetables; these are available through our CSA program. In addition, for children we offer environmental education programs in the summer focused on gardening and nature awareness, and for adults, at our annual Green Earth Fair on the first Sunday in May, we provide information about nutrition and environmentally sustainable practices for home, yard, and garden. In several school districts we are working with parents, teachers, administrators, and students to improve nutrition in the schools.
Responsibilites:
- Coordinate production with the Farm Manager to provide for the 350-member CSA farm in Naperville
- Tractor-work
- Day-to-day crew management
Requirements:
- 1-2 years previous experience working on an organic production farm.
- Experience with tractors would be very useful.
