We were thrilled when Chef Michael first appeared at Green Drinks a few years ago. He was an early pioneer in the organic and local food movement and inspired many others with his commitment. Living in Lincoln Square, I have appreciated my close proximity to his Bistro Campagne, one of the most cozy and delicious restaurants in Chicago. We mourn his passing last Friday at age 48, and will long value his legacy.

We will miss Michael….Barry and I have enjoyed his company during our visits to “Bistro” and “Crust” so many times. It will be sad to know that his infectious smile will be only in the shadows of our memories. May his memory be eternal…….
