Next Step: Continue current educational and professional path with eyes wide open. Consider all post graduate possibilities including community development, eco-preneurship, farming, consulting, etc.
Personal Sustainability: Educating for sustainability, urban gardening, hosting potlucks, bike commuting, getting to know neighbors, attending Green Drinks, food preserving.
Currently Reading: Just finished The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell and currently reading Hidden Connections by Fritjof Capra.
Recommends: Subscribe to Yes! Magazine or GreenBiz for daily solutions-based news regarding sustainability in all career fields, and anything by Margaret Wheatley is well worth reading.
Foresight Memories: Trust the process and build relationships. You could go at it alone but you’ll be more effective and have more fun if you collaborate with others.
Next Gen Advice: There are leaders for sustainability all around you – including you! Find what you are passionate about and let it be your guide so that you love what you do and do what you love.
Dream Project/Job: Manage a sustainable guesthouse where I can grow and preserve food while educating for sustainability; and continue to help others harness their own leadership so that they may affect sustainability in their personal and professional lives.
